One of my best friends, Jon Hadley, died.

I think I'm the type of person that doesn't let death quite completely hit them. I know one of the things I miss is that Hadley was a conduit to a shared past. The ability to unlock joyous memories with a loved one is a special thing, indeed. It's one of the greatest gifts to mortality, the chance to time travel with someone to a shared space and time.
